If you needed an excuse to love Robert Rodriguez, it’s been found.
That’s right. Fuck you, too, Arizona.

Let’s say you’re an LA doctor specializing in addiction therapy. Let’s also say you have been riding that magic intersection of location and career for roughly 20 years, making all kinds of bones telling other people how fucked up they are. Most famously by remote over the phone, mind you. This would of course make the following statement completely ethical and, quite frankly, the standard by which all medical professionals in a celebrity position should asses themselves:
“If she were my daughter, I would pack her car full with illegal substances, send her on her way, call the police, and make sure she was arrested. I would make sure she was not allowed to get out of jail. I would then go to the judge and make sure she was ordered to a minimum of a three year sobriety program.”
That’s the guy who hundreds of confused teens turn to each week to tell them they need to get that rash checked out or that marijuana causes fire-impregnated-cancer-AIDS. I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure the Hippocratic Oath would consider “framing your offspring for felony” squarely in the “doing harm” category. Even speculatively.
And at this point, could your name be anything BUT Dr. Drew Pinsky?
So, I play WoW. If you’re interested, this is me:
Lupus
I play on Shattered Hand, currently with an endgame PvE guild, Cold Blooded. I used to be more PvP oriented (I started Panther Moderns in Shadowbane and we moved to WoW when it released), but the arenas pretty much killed that for me. I prefer larger scaled encounters, and even 5v5s are too cramped for my style. They just don’t make PvP for AoE mages, anymore.
My /played is approaching a full year. For those not in the know, that doesn’t mean I’ve had an account for almost a year. It means, quite literally, that I’ve spent almost 365 real days in elapsed real time playing this game. That’s roughly 80% of full “expert” status, according to some.
Yes, I just tri-meta’d grinding. Pretty neat trick, non?
April Fool’s. It’s a new thing. I’m ditching the vanity-ware that doesn’t work. Well, it works, it just doesn’t get me out of my own way enough to foster publishing anything regularly. WordPress will be bearing the brunt of my ire, exasperation, and technological perversions for the foreseeable future.
Why WP? Why not? My host makes it easy. I like php, or I at least understand it and can work on it without paying a development tax to any particular company. I can even host the whole thing on my laptop. It’s css friendly. Not that anything else isn’t any of that. Just, WP is that, so it’s what I use. Now.
Should you care? At the risk of telling you what to think, and therefore starting a proper fight, No. You shouldn’t. But what you should care about is that I know how to style a WordPress site, at the very least. So, if you know anyone who needs that done, in trade for money or other fungible goods, send them here.
Sweet Dreams.
